After years spent as lead singer of popular Austin Rock band Nelo, Reid Umstattd puts his newfound songwriting skills to work on his first full length LP 'Southern Spheres', crafting an album of windswept Americana, pop-tinged Soul, and Heartland Rock.  The new record is also his first under the project name Reid Brothers.

 

Produced by Brian Douglas Phillips (Rob Baird, David Ramirez), ‘Southern Spheres’ shines with 12 songs shaped by “ family, adventure, memories and mystery,”- four foundational themes embodied by Reid Brothers, a name borrowed from the clothing store run by his grandparents, a nostalgia stocked highlight of childhood summers spent visiting his mom’s small hometown of Corinth, Mississippi.

 

“Reid Brothers is a perfect representation of what guides me as a songwriter,” he says.  “And really, what is life without family, adventure, memories and mystery?”
